Based on the Irish Naval Vessel, LE Samuel Beckett this scale recreation, made in a traditional Currach style from Elder wood and canvas sits upon approximately 800 boarding passes from Irish emigrants or people visiting Irish emigrants. The work is a response to the humanitarian crisis befalling Europe and Ireland’s place in the world.
