A response to the economic collapse the world still finds itself in, this large sand sculpture of the Irish Central Bank was created to imbue the hopelessness of the continued propping up of the old financial institutions the world continues to try and save. Originally envisioned as a perfect mould of the building , issues with the moulding process meant that the finished piece never cast perfectly always collapsing or losing a section of the building in the process. This failure mirrored the continued process of pumping billions into the failing financial institutions expecting this to fix the problem. The large mound the bank stands on symbolises the previous failures and how the same action will not give you different results.
